The "Shoghol Al-Khalil" gathering concluded a trade visit to the Russian Federation and the State of Kazakhstan, which extended from 12/03/2018 to 21/03/2018. The visit, which included six companies from the members of the assembly, to examine the Russian and Kazakh market and examine the possibility of exporting shoes to these two markets. The companies visited the Mosshoes exhibition specialized in shoes, which is held in Moscow, during which they were briefed on the quality and designs of shoes that suit the Russian market, and several promising business meetings were held with importers, during which they discussed mechanisms of cooperation and work between members of the assembly and Russian companies. Russian companies stressed the need to work on displaying brands and developing some product features to suit the Russian market more, praising the quality of the products at the same time. Some wholesale distributors have offered to distribute the products of participating companies through partnership agreements.
The Shoestar exhibition, which is held in the Kazakh city of Almaty, was also visited, and several major shoe importers in Kazakhstan were visited, who expressed their admiration for the products of the assembly companies, and they talked about marketing opportunities for shoes in the Kazakh market. A handful of companies have already requested some quotes for summer 2019.
It is noteworthy that the identification of these markets was after a study carried out by the assembly to search for new markets for local products and increase opportunities for exporting shoes.
