Receiving a delegation from the British Consulate and an export project in the shoe sewing unit
Mr. Amer Arafa, Chairman of the Cluster for the Shoe and Leather Industry - Shoel Hebron - Chairman of the Palestinian Leather Industries Federation, and members of the Board of Directors of the Federation received a delegation from the British Consulate that included Mr. Adesoji Adeniyi, Governance Advisor at the Consulate, Mr. Michel Sansour, Private Sector Development Advisor, Ms. Dima Abdel Latif, Senior Policy and Programs Manager, Mr. Mohammed Nusseibeh and Sabih Qurban, and their accompanying delegation from the Tasdeer project at the Shoel Hebron shoe sewing atelier. Mr. Amer briefed the visiting delegation on the activity of the unit and the activity it carries out in training and employing a group of women in the field of sewing, with the support of the Tasdeer program. He also explained to the visiting delegation the repercussions of the war on the footwear and leather sector and the crisis the sector is facing as a result, in addition to the obstacles to exporting to Jordan through the Allenby Crossing. Mr. Amer reviewed the specialized craft village project for the shoe and leather sector, which is considered one of the most important projects that will support the sector.
