A meeting of the board of directors of the Footwear and Leather Products Development Center in Hebron

Thursday, March 28, 2019 A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Footwear and Leather Products Development Center was held in Hebron, in the office of the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Imad Al-Khatib, President of Palestine Polytechnic University, and in the presence of the Vice President of the University for Community Service, Dr. Muhammad Ghazi Al-Qawasmi, with the participation of the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hebron Governorate, Mr. Abdo Idris, the Director General of the Ministry of Economy’s office in Hebron, Engineer Maher Al-Qaisi, the Director General of Industry in Hebron, Eng. Muhib Al-Jabari, the President of the Palestinian Leather Industries Federation, Mr. Hussam Al-Zaghal, and the representative of the Hebron Labor Collective in the center Mr. Amer Arafa, the Director General of the Hebron Chamber, Eng. Tariq Jalal, and the Director of the Center, Eng. Muhammad Hussein.
Several matters related to the center and its operation were discussed, as well as future plans regarding the services that the center will provide, and everyone agreed in a positive atmosphere on the need for cooperation and consensus in order to enhance the center’s primary role in supporting the footwear and leather sector, which is considered one of the most vital sectors in the city of Hebron. .
Everyone emphasized that this center is one of the pioneering projects that enhance cooperation and partnership between the academic, governmental and private sectors, and opens the way for many participatory opportunities in
Research and development fields.
