A working session to discuss the mechanism of applying the mandatory technical instructions for the shoe industry

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of National Economy, Mr. Khaled Al-Osaili, the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a working session that included the Palestinian Federation of Chambers of Commerce, the Standards and Metrology Institution, the Shoe and Leather Industry Association, and the German National Metrology Institute “PTB” in order to discuss the mechanism for applying the mandatory technical instructions for the shoe industry and the results of related examinations and the problems facing this sector.
His Excellency the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Abdo Idris, stressed the absolute priority to focus on the specifications of the Palestinian product, especially the footwear and leather sector, which the Hebron Governorate is famous for its products, stressing that the international and local institutions pay great attention to this issue.
The meeting included a discussion of the requirements of the mandatory technical instructions/statement card, the technical file, presentation of the results of the tests on the samples that were made in the shoe testing laboratory, and the most prominent services provided by the Standards and Metrology Organization such as certification, calibration and metrology.
