Hebron Leather & Shoe Cluster in the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry cordially invites women who are interested in the field of shoe sewing to attend the introductory workshop on the Shoe Sewing Unit. The unit is established by the Hebron Leather & Shoe Cluster to benefit female sewers whose businesses were impacted by Covid-19 pandemic or who wish to be involved in this sector. The project provides women with the required training and equipment in a convenient place, connects them with the members of the cluster from the shoe factories, and supervises the operations of managing and developing the unit.
The Shoe Sewing Unit is not for profit project. It aims at helping women to engage in the labor market. It is worth noting that the return of this work will be for the benefit of women.
The project is funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). It is part of a joint program between the United Nations, the United Nations Women (UN Women), the World Food Program (WFP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for mitigating the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on women’s economic participation in Palestine.
