Occupational Hebron Shoes Exhibition celebrated the inauguration of its first branch in Amman under the patronage of His Excellency the Palestinian Minister of National Economy Abeer Odeh and in the presence of His Excellency the Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tariq Al-Hammouri in a special ceremony dedicated to celebrating the Palestinian national industry at the exhibition’s headquarters located in Jabal Al-Hussein area in Amman.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hebron Governorate, the Vice President of the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Engineer Muhammad Ghazi Al-Harbawi, members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, the President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Youssef Al-Shamali, Dr. Yaqoub Nasir El-Din, Chairman of the Hebron Forum and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Middle East University, Mr. Muhammad Nusseibeh, Deputy Director of the Palestinian Market Development Program, and representatives from the Jordanian-Palestinian Businessmen Forum, in addition to representatives of the Hebron Occupational Gathering, and a number of officials from Palestine and Jordan who toured the exhibition to see the The various and diverse products. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hebron Occupational Fair and the Secretary of the Occupational Hebron Collective, Mr. Amer Arafa, expressed his happiness to see the dream and the goal for which the assembly was launched to come true, saying: “The assembly came to light mainly so that the Palestinian national companies can achieve a presence in the markets within Outside Palestine, Hebron is famous for its shoe industry, which is a legacy and a component of the old city, whose sons were able to transform this legacy into an important industry and then into an important pillar of the Palestinian economy.” He added: “On this occasion, we thank everyone who contributed to the success of this strategic step.” In particular, we mention the Palestinian Market Development Program (PMDP) and the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In their speeches, the attendees also stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian national product at all levels and by individuals and institutions alike.
The official ceremony was concluded with ribbon cutting by His Excellency the Palestinian Minister of National Economy, in addition to a tour of the exhibition.
